An afternoon talk,

Personally, I think, a nice sit down chat with a friend is one of the most pleasurable human experience a person is capable of.

The afternoon city heat had been crazy, I’ve already sweated buckets even before the clock had struck one, this what I hate during enrollment here at the university, always physically stressing and what not.

With time and an inexhaustible supply of rantation in our disposal, Mitch and I have decided to just stay for a while and have a wee bit of a bite and talk on a nearby restaurant.

To say that the talk had been nice, would be a sinful understatement to describe the wonders brought in by that seemingly short conversation of ours; which was apparently three hours! We practically covered everything! One minute, we were talking about boybands, then the next thing we know we were sharing our childhood, a minute or two later, we’re suddenly sharing our frustrations, hopes, dreams and endless aspirations.

It had been wonderful. This talk. This outpouring of feelings ,raging passion and uninhibited emotions… I can’t even. It’s just… lovely, this feeling. To feel so light after so much weight had been pressed upon your shoulders. I am thankful.

These friends of mine, they are among of the many blessings I have in life and I am indebted to them for being there for me the whole time I needed them, them bitches. I love you, you cunts! Here’s to spending another year with you dysfunctional people and I look forward for a lifelong friendship with you all!

I have always particularly liked that letter of Anais to Henry. It never fails to make me feel all enamoured and such. I find all her letters; the ones that I’ve read that is, powerfully romantic. I am endeared at the thought that she writes to him letters, letters such as these. It boggles my mind how letters so small are capable of encapsulating expressing a love so deep and powerful such as hers. Boggling… too mind boggling indeed.

Anonymous asked - "Because you're not a Brit. </3"

Well, I guess some things just can’t be helped. :) I do love my being a Filipino, really. But I do have this ardent belief, that I was English my past life. Eh, don’t mind me, I’m just being lil ole awkward me. :|

J’adore this movie!

Having the rest of the morning off earlier, I’ve had the chance to unwind some of the travel stress from yesterday and decided to watch Amelie.

Released in 2001, Amelie is a critically acclaimed and award winning French movie directed by renowned director Jeane-Pierre Jeunet and starring Audrey Tatou (who also starred  as kick-ass Cryptologist Sophie Neveau in 2006 movie The Da Vinci Code; opposite Tom Hanks)and Mathieu Kassovitz.

Could she be anymore cuter? The adorable Audrey Tatou as Amelie Poulain .

Entertaining would be a wholly understatement to describe the film. I could totally relate on nearly everything Amelie went through and of her views about life and her seemingly pointless and musings and drabble. Though I wish I could be as subtly crafty and/or just even half gifted as hers when it comes to strategising and all. But no.

I am hopelessly endeared with Amelie’s introverted personality. I do think that she has done and mastered to the crisp the cool awkward-girl persona first before anyone else; I don’t think no one else comes as close! Yes, and that includes Zooey Deschanel (sorry love). Amelie’s over-all character development throughout the whole movie is nothing short of delicious and surprising as one would never expect her capable of half the things she has done; given her lonely awkward misanthrope representation from earlier.

After a chance meeting at the train station, Amelie would later fall in love with this bloke Nino Quincampoix; cliche eccentric dreamer, he collects torn photobooth pictures and works as a ghoul in the Ghost Train at a funfair and sidelines at a Sex Toy shop.

Next to Wit, Amelie will now and forever be enshrined (I think) on my Top Five Favourite Movies of All Time list.

P.S: This is not a movie review.
